How To Submit Music To Media Sites & Blogs

LABEL YOUR MP3 - You could have a great record but if your mp3 is not labeled properly, it might not go on the site or blog. Think about it, websites and blogs receive a lot of music and they don't have the time to label each mp3. So again, be sure to label it properly. Here's an example:

Your Name - "Track Name" Feat. "Features".

ATTACH A PICTURE - When we (sites & blogs) post content often times we want to put a picture up on the article. Why? Well if anything, this helps YOU out because fans attach a face to the music. Now, this doesn't mean that you send us a 1500x1500 picture. We don't have time to wait for the picture to download. The largest you should go is 500x500 unless asked otherwise by the site or blog.

INCLUDE YOUR BIO - Some sites & blogs write a description of the music you just submitted and sometimes include their own opinion of the record. Some blogs & sites would to include a brief description of you. So be sure to attach a 2 paragraph bio to your email. We don't have the time to Google you. Have all of your info about yourself in the email submission.

3 TRACKS MAX - We've had people submit 5 records at a time. We suggest to submit 1 record at a time but if you want to, you can submit 3 record max!

YOUR SITES - Depending on what vehicle that website or blog uses to push the music or content out, you want to ensure you include sites that you have information on. For example like your twitter, myspace, facebook, etc.

CONTACT INFO - You never know who's going to get a hold of your music and where it can go during your campaign, so be sure to always include your contact information.
